A Space to be Shared
A modern, welcoming spa pool designed for relaxation and connection. Soft curves, fresh tones, and warm timber screening make it a calm oasis in a busy holiday park — while thoughtful accessibility features ensure enjoyment for all. Beautiful by day and inviting by night, this is a space made to be shared.
Winner of the SPASA 2026 Commercial Pool or Spa up to $1,000,000
The brief was to create an extra-large spa pool that felt like a natural continuation of the resort pool we had previously built at Tasman Holiday Parks – Papamoa Beach. It also needed to sit comfortably beside the new timber spa buildings and cope with the demands of daily guest use.
A series of sweeping curves echoes the style of the existing pool and gives the spa its distinctive form and a softer presence within the resort. Behind that simplicity was a more technical build, with complex formwork, detailed tiling and commercial-grade filtration required to support its size and long-term performance.
Construction took place within a live holiday park, alongside other building work and multiple trades. Tight access and limited space called for careful sequencing, clear communication and a strong focus on safety throughout.
The finished spa brings together light blue tiling, warm timber cladding and curved edges in a setting that feels calm, cohesive and well connected to the wider resort.
