What was once a tucked-away retreat has been transformed into the centrepiece of the backyard—a place to gather, cool off, and enjoy the sunshine from morning to evening.

An iconic New Zealand destination – Tokongawa Retreat on the edge of Abel Tasman National Park boasts one of the most spectacularly located Infinity pools in the country. Mayfair Pools Nelson had the pleasure of undertaking the refurbishment of this pool…

The Coppell family, upon buying their family property in Mapua, inherited an epic, incredibly large – and sadly neglected – swimming pool. They had unsuccessfully sought a company to undertake the work to refurbish the pool back to its former glory but no-one was willing to take on such a daunting project…

Though very happy with the overall design of their old pool, these clients knew that in order to enjoy it for many more decades to come, this pool needed a Mayfair refresh, with a fibreglass lining to make it shine and stand the test of time.

This concrete pool had extensive earthquake damage so the client pulled in the Mayfair team in Mayfair Marlborough to fix it up once and for all.

What must have been a fantastic pool in its day was well overdue for some love. And boy did it polish up well with the help of Mayfair’s master craftsmanship.

With the clever use of different materials and heights both around and within the pool, this renovation is a visual feast of modern minimal – and functional – design.

A massive pool has massive visual weight and can make (or break) the landscape. So when it was found this pool was leaking with surface damage it was a no brainer to modernise the whole look, and return the entire area to its former glory.

After chlorine had eaten away the concrete of this pool it was time for a refresh. A new custom fibreglass interior and a tiled infinity edge mosaic add light and brightness enough to match the view.
