Twice the Paradise
Mayfair gave the Sunset Resort’s two pools a much-needed refresh—fixing leaks, adding easy-access steps, and a ramp for everyone to enjoy. Now surrounded by lush gardens and tropical vibes, the pools are back to their best—perfect for a laid-back escape in paradise (or twice the paradise, in this case).
When Sunset Resort in Rarotonga needed a full refresh for their two beloved pools, they turned to the original pool builders—Mayfair—to bring them back to life. The brief: fix persistent leaks in the aging concrete structures (originally built by others), and make the pools more welcoming and accessible for all guests. That meant installing wide entrance steps and a custom ramp designed for ease of access.
Tackling the refurbishment during the region’s intense wet season added an extra challenge, with heat, rain, and logistics keeping the team on their toes. Every piece of equipment—even the tools—had to be shipped over, so planning was key.
Despite the conditions, Mayfair delivered. Now surrounded by lush gardens and tropical vibes, the pools are back to their best—perfect for a laid-back escape in paradise. Or twice the paradise, in this case.
