Designed to complement the home's striking architecture while embracing its natural surroundings, this innovative pool maximises both function and beauty. The cantilevered structure mirrors the balcony's sleek lines, creating a cohesive, floating effect that enhances the entire living space. With every swim, the view takes centre stage — an uninterrupted panorama of nature, framed by inspired design.
These clients wanted a good sized lap pool that could take in the expansive view of their hillside home, perched amongst the trees. Given the size and shape of their property, a cantilevered pool hugging one side of the home and extending outward alongside the balcony was the perfect solution.
With a steeply sloped hill and difficult access to contend with – plus highly technical construction – this project was not for the faint-hearted.
Limited space, a gorgeous architectural home, a spectacular view, and a wish to keep the home cohesive with the surrounding nature all combined to inspire this incredible design. Extending the available range of the pool with a cantilevered base to echo the lines of balcony – and an infinity edge to maximise the spectacular view – was particularly inspired.
