The Coppell family, upon buying their family property in Mapua, inherited an epic, incredibly large – and sadly neglected – swimming pool. They had unsuccessfully sought a company to undertake the work to refurbish the pool back to its former glory but no-one was willing to take on such a daunting project…

These clients didn’t want the usual “steps everywhere” like the pre-moulded pools – and they wanted a non-standard depth for the size. This infinity pool (once the pinnacle of luxury on its own) was taken to the next level again with a stunning mirror effect. Water overflows from all sides of the pool, thereby creating a perfectly flat surface that reflects the sky and surrounding environment like a mirror, creating a show stopping visual impact.

This gorgeous Kerikeri retreat is set off to perfection by the sparkling pool at its heart. The subdued earth tones and linen pool colour evoke a tranquil mediterranean vibe.

After doing their due diligence, this retired couple determined that none of the off the shelf pool sizes, shapes, colours or entrance steps suited their requirements or aesthetic. They wanted to design the perfect pool and spa combo that would be right for their current circumstances – and still be right in 10 years time.

With an already busy lifestyle, this client was keen for the relaxation and fun a pool could provide – but not so keen on the possible workload! Good thing pool technology has advanced to where ongoing maintenance is automated and simple.

This client thought they were embarking on a brand new pool build. Everything changed when they discovered a 45 year old concrete pool buried in precisely the same place! Turns out they unearthed a hidden gem in great condition, and the Mayfair team were easily able to shift tacks and renovate rather than build.

This client wanted a 20m lap pool for their personal use as well as to amplify their Air BNB offering. This pool is heated for year round fitness and pleasure – both for Air BNB guests, owners, and the local surf lifesavers.
