For Lynn and Steve, building a pool at their Kinloch home was more than just a backyard upgrade—it was about creating a family haven. They wanted a space where their grandkids could safely learn to swim and play, and where they could relax, unwind, and enjoy the beautiful Kinloch scenery year-round.

 

Supreme Winner at the 2025 SPASA NZ Awards for Enhancement of the Year & Gold for Pool Landscape Design and finalist for both categories at the Australian finals.

The vision for this project extended well beyond the pool itself. The goal was to create an outdoor environment where the pool, landscaping and home felt completely connected – a space that looked as though it had always been part of the property.

Working closely with Plateau Pools & Spas, Lynn and Steve chose a custom 10m x 4m pool with a generous beach entry for the grandchildren to enjoy, alongside premium heating, automated water care and hidden pool cover systems for effortless year-round use.

Just as important was the landscape design. Natural stone, carefully placed boulders, planting and clean architectural detailing frame the pool beautifully, creating an outdoor setting that is as inviting as it is functional. The result is an award-winning landscape that showcases how thoughtful pool design and landscaping can work together to create something truly special.
