This extraordinary Queenstown project has taken the crown with its immersive, sensory experience and interlinking water features. Designed by Gary Todd Architecture and executed with expertise by the Mayfair Pools Otago & Southland team, this pool is a true masterpiece.

From the calming mirror pond at the entrance to the seamless blending of the pool into Lake Wakatipu, every detail was meticulously crafted. The massive cantilever pool boasts a breathtaking 5m infinity edge 'waterfall,' creating a captivating 'grotto' behind the sheet of water.

The result is pool perfection that effortlessly blends nature and design, allowing the homeowners to embrace the ultimate flow.

Congratulations to Mayfair Pools Taupō & Rotorua for creating an enchanting oasis that captured the hearts of voters.

Evoking a fairy tale escape, this wee plunge pool was carefully crafted to fulfill the client's vision of a private retreat nestled in their garden.

This amazing pool features stepping stones that traverse a splash pad, perfect for little ones to enjoy. Meanwhile, a gradual slope guides the way to the deep end, offering bigger kids the ideal spot for games and bombs.

A Visual Feast: Gold Renovation of the Year 2023

The clients' desire for a modern and cohesive entertaining area led to a complete overhaul of their pool. External steps were removed, the pool length was extended, and a shallow area with stepping stone plinths was created, providing both visual depth and multiple spaces for family play.

In line with the brief, a striking water feature became a focal point, and an additional taller mosaic wall was built along the garden boundary, introducing another layer of visual interest.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home.
