Designed for family fitness and relaxation with impeccable style, this clever multi-zone pool includes a lap lane, recreation area, elevated spa, and bridge-access cabana—brought together by beautiful decking, neutral tiling, and twin waterfalls cascading over dramatic walls.

 

This sophisticated pool build was designed to do it all—combine fitness, family fun, and design flair in one cohesive space. The brief called for a full-length lap pool with a separate recreation area for the younger members of the family, all while integrating multiple levels and functions within the pool zone.

To meet the challenge, the final design included an office beneath a cabana that spans the pool via a bridge—creating easy access across the lap zone to the elevated spa. This smart design separates activity areas without losing flow or connection between zones.

Hidden pool covers beneath the paving keep the lines clean and access unrestricted, while two dramatic waterfalls cascade over striking tiled feature walls, enhancing the visual impact and acoustic ambiance of the space. The result is a highly functional and visually layered pool environment, designed for every age and every season.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.
