Mayfair’s custom above-ground and semi-ground pools are individually designed and constructed on site, giving us the flexibility to create a pool that works with your property rather than around the limitations of a preformed shell.
This approach is particularly well suited to sloping sections, elevated homes and unique New Zealand properties where changes in level can become part of the design.
An above-ground or semi-inground pool can open up possibilities that a conventional in-ground pool can’t. It might follow the contours of a sloping section, meet an elevated deck or outdoor living area, or use a change in level to create a striking architectural feature.

What is an above-ground or semi-inground pool?
An above ground pool has part or all of the pool structure sitting above the natural ground level, while a semi-inground pool is partially set into the ground.
Both can be particularly effective on properties with slopes, changes in level, elevated outdoor areas or sites where a fully inground pool isn’t the best design response.
And because the exposed sides of the pool become part of what you see, the details matter. The pool needs to work not only structurally, but visually with the home, decking and surrounding landscape.
