Merivale is an established upmarket suburb in Christchurch renowned for great cafes, shops, and eateries, and well known for its share of garden parties.
The owners of this Merivale property wanted more than just a drop in the ground pool. Their section size and requirements were such that they wanted the right size and shape of pool that would perfectly fit in their backyard.
Entertaining was really important to our client – they wanted to enjoy life more and entertain on a new level with the addition of a custom-made swimming pool in their backyard,” says pool builder Jim Gaul from Mayfair Pools Canterbury.
This particular pool features glass fencing, which allows for a clear vision of the pool at any time from all points of the property and house. The surrounding tiled areas of the pool and terraces were laid with tiles of unique stone, colour silt natural, which beautifully match the light blue colour of waterline tiles and matching permanent pool gel coat colour. Full-length steps were built into the pool at the shallow end for relaxing when sitting around the pool on hot sunny days.
