A Return to Former Glory

A massive pool has massive visual weight and can make (or break) the landscape. So when it was found this pool was leaking with surface damage it was a no brainer to modernise the whole look, and return the entire area to its former glory.

 

Breathing life into this huge 25m x 7m Taupo pool required two giant tents to cover and two days of in-situ fibreglassing to repair and refurbish back to its former glory.

Leaking with surface damage, it was clear this pool required remedial work and a full fibreglass resurface. Whilst undertaking the repair work, it was also a great opportunity to replace the leaking lights and update the waterline tiles to add a more modern style to the pool aesthetic.

The old royal blue pool colour was modernised to Linen with Blue Silver Glitter - creating the feeling of being in their very own island resort. Finished with Bisazza waterline tiles in muted greys and grey blues with copper and white accents to complement the pool colour beautifully.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.
